Why investors are flocking to Facebook
The focus is quickly moving ... to companies totally concentrated on services that operate on the OSI (open system interconnection) Layer 7. We recently highlighted one of these companies, US-based Kynetx, which runs a platform that allows app makers to add revenue-generating bells and whistles to their products.
Because they are not limited by the complexity of the infrastructure elements of the business these companies/innovators can remain independent and concentrate solely on the new business opportunities that are increasingly becoming available. They can focus on what customers want and speedily develop new products without having to worry so much about being outdated by new technology.
